  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Sorry I didn't catch this last night Whitey. But I am doing great. Both my wife and I are retired now and just having a ball. And as you might guess I am also enjoying the Trump presidency or lack of same here on the forum.

But my heart actually did soar last night when I saw your post because for all the bullshitters we have ar0ound here on climate change you are the only actual scientist. And I remember just how well you take a mountain of bullshit climate change denial and just off the top of your head reveal what utter fools they are.

Just like you did last night with a single post.

And by the way Whitey say hello to your beautiful wife for me. Not that I know her or that she was ever a forum player. But just because you related all the ways she helped shape you. And I have always admired her for that.

As stupid, counter productive, and impotent as Trump's publicity stunt is there is a silver lining. He is being savaged by the fact checkers over it and I have seen more factual reporting on human caused global warming/climate change in just the last 24 hours than I usually see in a year. And debunking Trump's lies and stupidity about the Paris agreement and human caused global warming/climate change is a great thing because it takes down all the other climate change deniers with him.

The most effective way that America can reduce its carbon emissions is by reducing immigration from countries with a low per capita carbon footprint.

Most Central American countries and places like Syria have a very low per capita carbon footprint. When people move from these countries to America their carbon emissions skyrocket as the move into houses with high electricity consumption and begin using a car, dishwasher, washing machines, computers etc. A typical immigrant can quickly increase their carbon emissions by a factor of ten when they move to America. This can be catastrophic for the environment.

Trump's immigration policies are having a far greater impact on reducing our carbon emissions than staying in the Paris Accord ever will.

If you care about the environment, we must reduce immigration.

If we quit sending food to all of the starving countries it might lower our carbon emissions.
Growing enough food to feed all of those people who will not feed their own people uses a lot of fuel.

Trump is determined to make the U.S. a backwater third world country. But all his supporters are gonna be getting jobs I guess...working for Chinese companies.

If what you say is true, then it will greatly reduce America's carbon footprint.

Science advances through new discoveries. Evidence is accumulating that man made global warming is happening, and that it is a problem.

To this day, there is no conclusive evidence that man has effected the climate.

I can post just as much information from the internet as you refuting any claims you make with regards to man made climate change.

Here are a few things I am seeing just today.

Earth's climate has always been changing and has actually been hotter in the past than it is right now.

That is true. But at least for the past 600,000 years the concentration of CO2 has never been this high and there is no doubt that is due to burning fossil fuels because natural CO2 and fossil fuel CO2 have different molecular signatures that can be identified. And as the CO2 levels increase so will temperatures which will have catastrophic consequences including threatening all life on earth

It can't be global warning because we also see record low temperatures in come parts of the country.

This is also true. But those extreme weather events as well as record flooding, record droughts, record tornadoes, and record hurricanes or typhoons depending on where you live are all predicted in all the global warming/climate change models and 15 of the past 16 years have been the hottest on record with the only outlier being 1998.

There is still a lot of scientific debate about global warming/climate change.

No there is virtually no scientific debate about human caused global warming/climate change with 98% of qualified scientists who have submitted peer reviewed studies concluding that there is human caused global warming/.climate change that will result in both catastrophic problems for humans and the planet.

Why should the US have to curb its CO2 emissions when China doesn't have to.

First Trump's fallacy is that no one has to do anything under the Paris Agreement because it is non-binding and strictly voluntary. But in regards to China they are actually leading the US already in curbing CO2 emissions, are turning to more and more renewable energy, and actually cancelled plans for more than 100 coal fired plants in just the past year. And China may have more total CO2 emissions than the US. But when those emissions are broken down by population the US actually emits far far more CO2 per person than China.

The Paris Agreement will hurt American jobs.

Not true at all. As an example there are twice as many jobs manufacturing and installing solar panels alone in the US than there are coal mining jobs and that does not count all the other jobs in related industries and wind turbines. And the new global job rush is in renewable energy and associated techno9logies and Trump pretty much just cut the US out of that. And worst of all there is nothing Trump can do to bring coal mining jobs back because the decline of coal has nothing to do with the Paris Agreement, the environment, or regulations. It is strictly business. Coal is being replaced with natural gas which is not only cheaper, and cleaner but also new natural gas fired electrical generation plants can be built for far far less then the cost of coal fired plants and can be built just about anywhere and any size because their fuel is piped in.

And this is more factual reporting on global warming/climate change than I have ever seen before in the MSM.

Many times man likes to think he is more important and stronger than Mother Nature.
Man has not been around that long. When the earth gets enough it will rid itself of this pest.
There will be something that steps right up to replace man.

All the whining and crying over this.

The irony here is that the biggest whiners are ranting against fossil fuels, when the biggest US winner of the Paris Accords was EXXON MOBILE, which supported it. Why did they support it? Because the Paris Accords had special provisions to BUY Exxon's support by rewarding them for producing LNG.

Meanwhile Elon Musk and all his stockholders are also in a tizzy. And California and New York are also in a tizzy. Why? Because California's taxpayers GAVE Musk more than $700 million to build car plants there, and New York taxpayers GAVE Musk around $600 million to build lithium battery plants there. Facilities which Elon Musk rents for ONE DOLLAR PER YEAR.

    Nice.

So why are those governors and so many politicians bitching? Because they get a piece of that graft, and they were counting on Paris Accord Carbon Tax/Credits to launder the graft.

You snowflake libs are supposedly so AGAINST corporate cronyism, but you buy this Global Warming shit, hook line and sinker. Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic.

    Whitey!!!!

Doubt you would remember that on your old Jazz thread you clued me in to Thelonious Monk. I'll have you know I practice my piano every day to unwind. I'm not up to Thelonious yet; still boning up on my sight reading with Ludwig and Freddy Chopin. And for improv I play along to Snarky Puppy (IMHO a GREAT modern/Louisana-fusion jazz band).

Take care, I hope all is well! :)
